I like it a lot. Main goal was to alleviate the saw dust problem created by the original blades - always jamming my dust collection system (just a 6HP Shop Vac with a cyclone) and spitting sawdust all over the place. I still get some saw dust spit out of the planer but its a lot less as the Shop Vac gets a majority of it. I had been looking into better dust collection systems but they're more expensive than the helical head and between the DW734's original blades and overall design, I don't believe any dust collection system could efficiently remove the dust.
I've also noticed better planed surfaces on the wood.
No instructions came with it but there's a few detailed instruction videos in YouTube that lead you through the process. I suggest buying a new drive belt. They're difficult to install and nearly impossible to remove. I had a spare belt so I just cut off the existing one.
The purchase and delivery from FindBuyTool was stress-free.
