I'm kicking myself for waiting this long to get the helical head for my DeWalt 735. I ran some rough sawn cherry through and comes out 220 grit almost 320 grit smooth. Well worth the cost and having 4 sides per cutter, will last a long time.

I had FindBuy build a custom cutterhead for my grizzly 8" jointer. Based on that exccellent work I had no qualms getting this for my small plane. Cutterhead came, was easy to install, fit precisely, cut glass smooth - no problemo. Watch the video - I forgot to pull the brushes... For the price this was a no-brainer for me - I no longer have ANY steel knives to sharpen on my thickness planer, jointer, and even this small hand plane. I will say: as an American, this is a Chinese company that is as good as it gets...

I have used a multitude of counter sink bits in my line of work. There has always been cutting and clogging issues. The bits that I purchased from Find Buy Tool are razor sharp and straight. Extremely better than the Milwaukee counter sink bits I have bought in the past. I will definitely purchase these again.

at first, I was suspicious of the quality because of the price. The gouge is well-made, well balanced with adequate leverage on the handle. The tool holds an edge and has become one of my favorite gouges for turning.

I must admit to being a little nervous about FBT at first, I was attracted by their keen pricing but their lack of presence on Trustpilot concerned me. However some positive reviews on a few woodworking forums gave me the confidence to order a helical cutter for my Makita 2012NB planer.
From the day I ordered until the day it arrived at my house I was kept informed on its progress. It arrived beautifully packaged in a vacuum formed polystyrene box, complete with 2 robust Allen keys.
With the help of YouTube videos installation was done in 2 hours with no issues, then took a further hour to install the cutters. The quality of the engineering is superb.
The upgrade has transformed the machine, it has doubled the depth of cut capability and the finish is superb on what was already a very capable planer.
Installation tip. remove the Allen bolt holding the original cutter head on BEFORE removing the locking device that prevents the cutter head from rotating otherwise it’s almost impossible to turn the Allen key without the head spinning.
And FBT, please give torque settings for the cutters! Otherwise Bravo to everyone at FBT!

Took a couple of hours to install but the result is just fantastic!! The quality of the resulting wood planing is a beautiful smooth finish. A bonus is that the sound of the planer operating is greatly reduced.

This cutter is the best upgrade I’ve ever bought. No more setting the two blades, no more chips getting caught between the blade and the cutter block, causing lines in the work piece.
Reduces the amount of sanding as well.
Best money I’ve ever spent.
I make chopping boards where flat boards are a must, this makes my job a lot easier and quicker than the old 2 blade system.

I appreciate they held my order for an updated model. The new cut gauge is helpful! Planing is fast and very smooth - great finish results in softwood and hardwood so far. Solid build and easy to use. I do think they should add a chain tensioner to the height adjustment as it binds a little due to the horizontal gain orientation - nothing major - just an annoyance.
Considering the helical cutting performance and quality results, I would recommend this to anyone interested. Just be patient in the shipping.
