Great improvement over the straight original blades. It is vastly quieter and the cuts are silky smooth. the install was a bit tedious but worth it in the end.

Have used all of them ,end grain cross grain hard and soft woods performed very well great set of tools .

Was surprised by how well this thing worked. Was pretty straightforward to install. I watched a YouTube video on the process for removing the 3 blade head and I basically reversed the process for the install of the helical head. Very happy with my decision to buy this vs the shelix head.

I've had a Helical Cutterhead on my wish list for quite some time. I hadn't pulled the trigger on them simply because I thought the price was a bit high, over $500+ from other companies. When I saw the Finsbury Tools cutterhead for $329.99, I pulled the trigger. The written instructions and online video walked me through the installation process with ease. The first board I ran through the planer after installing the cutterhead left me smiling. It was obvious that the planer was much quieter. The board I chose was a rough-cut piece of cedar. I intentionally chose a piece of softwood because I'd been working with it for a few days. The difference was amazing. The new cutterhead left a finish that required very little sanding. The cutterhead worked as advertised! Since then, I've run several hardwood boards through the planer and experienced similar results. Time will tell how long the individual blades will last, but so far, I am extremely satisfied.

Been thinking about one of these for a while now and finally decided to get one, wish I’d got it sooner as it’s worth every penny.
Had a few issues at the start but these were sorted quickly so a big thumbs up for their customer service.
Produces a better quality finish than the double blades, quieter and produces smaller chips that extract better. Tip life is good so far and don’t seem to be effected by tough knots like the old blades do so overall it’s highly recommended by me

An excellent product at affordable price. I verified all alignments and it was perfectly adjusted as delivered, no tweaking necessary. It’s lightweight and easy to move and store. Very sturdy and compact. Well thought out and easy to use. Safety features are amazing!
At this price point, the miter gauge is very basic. Investing in a better one would make another nice upgrade.

Good quality portable saw at a great price. I chose this saw because it was less than half the cost of the worksite saw by the big D brand, and a little more than half its weight. I wondered about quality and precision, but the price and Findbuytool's return policy prompted me to give it a try. I am so glad I did!

My new planer arrived on schedule and was very well packaged. I had it in my workshop shop the next day and it took just a few minutes to unpack, check the table for level, attach the vacuum chip chute. I ran a rough sawn piece of quarter sawn white oak through the planer with fantastic results. My board came out with a very smooth surface…almost a finish sanding. I could not be happier. I was so impressed with the finish, I ordered a conical head to fit my Jet jointer.
