After plassing bthe order I was kept fully informed at each stage of the delivery process with the package being delivered when advised. My first impression on unpacking the planer was that this is a well built solid machine. After set up I ran a peice of kiln dryed oak through the planer and was very happy with the smooth oporation and and the helical cutters give a nice clean finish, a definite step-up from planer.

Really happy with the service from Findbuytool and with the tool as well. Ordered on a Friday arrived on Tuesday. I was a bit weary at delivery as the guy rolled it towards my door but fortunately nothing damaged. Tool itself just needed the feed tables adjusting slightly. Really impressed with the finish, tried with some old oak, pine and some rough timber, great finish on all. Instructions aren't great but easy enough to use and some good YouTube videos. Happy to recommend.

For the price I’m not sure this deal can be beat. Easy to set up, minimal sniping from the get go, and works as advertised. Would buy again if I needed 2. My only gripe is with the length of time to fulfill the order. Thought it would be 3-8 days as advertised, more like 3-4 weeks. Still a good machine for the money.

Excellent machine!

I bought my Machorool® FB132H 13" 2-Speed Thickness Planer with Helical Cutterhead for a project I was doing. Needed to make 1910 style 2 1/4” raster tails. I found some 3x6 fir to sister on to the main rafters. Almost clear fir from Warren Trask through my lumber company. So I planed 50 pieces down from 2 1/2” to 2 1/4” like butter. Now I have a planer for future projects that I can transport on site!

New 13" planer with helical cutterhead

I purchased the FB132H 13" 2 speed thickness planer with Helical cutterhead. This unit produces absolutely smooth as glass finish on all of the different types of wood I have used. I am a 30 year owner of a freestanding Shopsmith planer but would recommend this to Shopsmith owners as well!

Very Impressed

I thoroughly went over the machine. Very little assembly and I was very impressed with how much metal is used in this machine. This is not belt driven, it has a chain. That alone impressed me. I have run over 80 bf of various hardwoods so far. These come out darn near perfectly smooth. I will be able to go to 120 grit sand paper because the boards are that smooth. I did have a little snipe because I lifted the board when coming out and not letting the machine do its job. The built in rollers are awesome and can handle 24" boards with no problem. The machine is very heavy. It helps having another person to help lift it. I am also impressed how quite it is compared to my old Delta 2 blade planer.The machine does an excellent job sending the chips out the back. With dust collection, no issues. The only wood that does build up on the plate or around the machine is Pine. I think this is a huge competitor to the yellow planer out there. I am very happy with the purchase and the price. I hope to get many years of use with this amazing tool. If you are looking at a true helical cutterhead planer, this machine is great in many ways.

Machorool 13in Thickness Planner - Model FB132H

Here is my review after using this tool for one solid day. Overall, I am quite pleased with the operation of this thickness planer which is easy to operate and produces very good results. Pros: Relatively quiet Operates smoothly Leaves a very nice surface after planing Two speeds is helpful Chip/Dust extraction works quite well Cons: Dust Bag is too thin and flimsy After just a couple of hours of operation, the filter bag was half full and ripped open where the bag attaches to the blower adapter with the spring attached. The bag material in the neck of the bag that attaches to the adapter must be reinforced with a much stronger material to avoid ripping. Caution when planing long boards: Initially I did not attach the planer to the work table it was sitting on and when planing long boards, the machine begins to tip if the out-feed support roller I placed several feet from the machine isn't well aligned. I realize the importance of bolting it down using the four mounting hole attach points in each corner.

Great improvement

The findbuytool cutter head is a great improvement for my planer. It would better if it came with 6.0 newton torque wrench which required to correctly install the cutter heads and is a low enough torque that few stores carry it.

Significant Upgrades

I received shipment earlier than expected. A friend who had made the change a few years ago helped me with the install, which went smoothly except for a couple of screws that needed some extra work. I put all the cutter heads on, slow at first but then it got easier. Once everything was done and put back together I turned the planer on and put a couple of test boards through. They came out very smooth needing very little if any sanding. Since I belong to a woodworking group and we rough cut our lumber every board I get needs to be planed and with the helical cutter installed it will make the planing a joy.
