Soft and smooth like a babies...
I put this new helical cutter in my Dewalt planner after one of the original blades came loose and did some damage. It shipped fast and installed easily following several videos. I was up and running in less than 5 days. Wow! The cutter leaves a very smooth finish, even on the slow speed. It cost less than some of the other better known brands available. Definitely worth it.

Best planner up grade

FB13H Helical Head Planer
This is the second item purchased from this company. Quality is exceptional. The planer works very well and gives a glass like finish. If I was being critical and it is a minor point the height adjustment mechanism could be smoother but that's more of a tactile issue not functional. Delivery was very quick and customer service have always answered questions very promptly. Would definitely not hesitate in buying anything from this company in the future.

Incredible results
So I bought my Delta 22-540 planer off of the original owner and loved it other than the chatter. I had been looking at replacing it with a helical planer, but didn’t want to fork out $800-1500 so I explored the option to clean up, regrease, and replace the cutterhead for my trusty Delta. Out of the box, the new cutterhead felt solid, slightly heavier than the original. I ordered extra blades and the recommended 6Nm torque wrench as well. It only took me 6 hours for disassembly, cleaning, replace cutterhead and reassembly. I was blown away at the quality of the cut, MASSIVE noise reduction, and ease of dust/chip collection compared to my original straight blade. Honestly a little upset with myself for not taking pre/post dB readings, but it’s a marked improvement from before even without measurements.

Fantastic piece of kit
Unboxed it and placed it on the bench put on the handles which are self explanatory. Took the cutter up to check the tables they were all level. Used the measuring guide to plane a piece of softwood and found the guide to be accurate. I have used on different hardwood and found the finish to be spot on. I would definitely recommend this planer
