Unlike traditional straight cutterhead that cut through wood, the angled helical cutterhead cuts cleanly through wood fibers, eliminating tearing, shearing, and splintering. Even when dealing with tricky wood grains like curly maple or knotty pine, you get a smoother surface with minimal sanding. The continuous cutting motion also reduces vibration and ensures consistent results, there will be a smoother surface.
