Important: Because machine manufacturers have changed cutter heads over the years, the G1018 Jointer has four different cutter head options in total.
The original G1018 was manufactured in the United States before 1970 and was available with two different heads.
- 5/8” shaft - Use Old original Grizzly style with 3.000” cutting circle (includes blades)
- 5/8” shaft - Use Old original Grizzly style with 3.125” cutting circle (includes blades)
The newer cutter heads were made in Taiwan, used a universal cutter head, and were available with two different heads.
- 19mm shaft - Use Generic Metric 8-Inch Head (keyway 5mm (0.197") wide)
- 3/4" shaft - Use Generic Imperial 8-Inch Head (keyway 0.1875" - 0.1895" wide)
This 4-row helical head is a 16-pound heavy monster cutter head, which would totally change your 8" jointer to the next level. It leaves an excellent finish while dramatically reducing the noise. If you need spare carbide insert knives, please click the 15x15x2.5mm-30°-R150 carbide insert. Our helical cutterheads are well-machined by 5-spindle CNC machines, resulting in excellent coaxiality. The tungsten carbide insert knives are made from 100% raw material, so compared with HSS knives, we provide you with
