The 15" helical spiral cutterhead with 68 top-quality tungsten carbide insert knives will upgrade your 15-inch planer to the next level.

    • The true helical head offers true shear cut: blades are set at an angle to smoothly shear the timber and eliminate tear-outs.
    • Much smoother cut on both hardwood and softwood.
    • 400% longer lifetime from our proud carbide insert.
    • Dramatically reduce the noise by OVER 50%.

  1. Upgraded insert knives: radius-corner design eliminates the lines and scalloped surface, and reduces the possibility of breaking the blades.
  2. Durability: The body of this helical cutter head is made from premium steel and black oxidized for long-lasting rust protection.

    3. Helical cutter head for 15" planer-details

    Our helical heads are precision machined by 5-axis CNC machines, resulting in excellent coaxiality. The tungsten carbide insert knives are made of 100% raw material, so compared with HSS knives, we provide you 

    • 40X longer lifetime from our proud carbide insert.
    • The shear cut virtually eliminates tear-outs.
    • Perfect surface quality that you do not have to sand.
    • Higher work efficiency thanks to faster feed speed.
    • Producing much smaller chips and your dust collection system will function more efficiently.
    • Changing blades is effortless and does not require adjustment.
    • No need to re-sharpen the blades any longer.
    • Dramatically reduce the noise by at least 50%.
    • To properly align the inserts, please tighten them to approximately 6 Newton-meter torque.
    • In case you're unable to locate a cutter head that matches your machine model, we also provide an option for a custom cutter head. If you need spare blades, please click 15x15x2.5mm-30°-R150 carbide insert knives.
